What are we looking at when we are "seeing"?
Is it information, phenomena, or the appearance of our own feelings?

This video work shows sequences that overlap natural phenomena like moving light and liquid through the eye of the camera. I edited together several experimental videos from the development stage of "Reflection as Compression", which is a self-produced live installation presented online in autumn 2020. We live amidst numerous phenomena that just disappear. Reflections trace the surfaces of glass containers, liquid moves due to heat, and light acts as interference. Each of these independent phenomena gather together through our perception. In our retina, or in our consciousness, they are interlacing and interrelating.
